Fujitsu Touchscreen Paper: We love a bit of technological development here at Third Floor and this article at Mashable.com caught our eye this week. Fujitsu have developed a technology which can detect that your finger is touching an object in the real world. This can then be manipulated with finger gestures and can be stored to memory for example. The project is still in the demonstration stages but could be here by 2014. The technological advancements happening at the moment are just fascinating, who knows what could be possible in even 5 years time! What do you think of this technology? The Google Glasses
The revolutionary new glasses from Google first appeared on the catwalk in September 2012, on models for Diane von Furstenberg Spring Summer 2013. These amazing new glasses offer wearers a range of amazing augmented reality features including taking photos and videos, receiving messages, checking calendars, and many other smartphone type features. Their collaboration with DVF resulted in a short video being created using the footage taken using them by models and people backstage at the show. This video can be seen below, entitled "DVF [through glass]". We love this idea of new technology and how such a well known designer has collaborated with them, it leads us to the question, where will technology and fashion collide next?
